Much Cooler for the Weekend

Remember last Tuesday when the heat index almost hit 100°? Well, it's going to be considerably cooler than that this weekend:

We had some morning thunderstorms that dumped over a half-inch of rain at the DFW Airport this early morning. Those storms raced to the south and the slow clearing started behind a rather strong (for May) cold front. It was actually warmer in the middle of the night than it will be this afternoon:

Tomorrow we continue with the cooler winds. Lots of clouds will keep temperatures in the low 70's again for an afternoon high. There is a slight chance for a thunderstorm over our southern counties by afternoon but a much better chance of rain for everyone by late evening and into Monday morning:

It's Spring in north Texas and the heart of our storm season. This week will be no exception with big rain chances late Sunday and early Monday then again on late Tuesday. Another cold front comes through on early Wednesday but the rain chances continue:
