More Winter-Like Temperatures This Week

COOLER WEATHER PREVAILS THIS WEEK…

After such above average temperatures last week that featured four days with highs in the 70s, we are back to more seasonable weather and even a little cooler than average this week.  Average high for this time of year is 58 to 59 degrees.

An upper level low is moving over Colorado and will move across the Central Plains tonight and tomorrow.  This will force a cold front southward into North Texas tomorrow.  This will reinforce the cooler weather for the rest of the week.  The front will pass thru during the midday hours tomorrow.  There isn't enough moisture in the air to squeeze out any rain with this front and winds will not be very strong behind the front.

Later in the week another upper level storm system will track across northern Mexico and south Texas.  This might bring a little rain to south Texas, but nothing is expected here other than cloud cover and maybe a light patch of drizzle.  So the forecast this week looks rather benign with just chilly days ahead.

TONIGHT… Mostly cloudy.  Low of 40.  Winds Light & Variable.
TOMORROW… Partly Sunny.  High of 59.  Winds Light east in the morning, then NW 5 to 15 mph.

TOMORROW NIGHT… Mostly cloudy.  Chilly and breezy.  Low of 36.  N winds 10 to 20mph.

THURSDAY… Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy.  Low of 31.  High of 54. NE 5-10 mph

FRIDAY…   Mostly cloudy.  Small chance (20%) of a light drizzle.   Low of 39.  High of 60.  Light north winds.

SATURDAY… Partly sunny.  Low of 38.  High of 62.  SE 5-15 mph

SUNDAY… Mostly cloudy, breezy.  Low of 40.  High of 58.
