Mesquite Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Mesquite are searching for a bank robbery suspect who disguised himself with a big black wig and a fake black beard on Tuesday. The crime happened at around 2:00 p.m. at the BBVA Compass Bank located in the 800 block of West Kearney Street.

According to authorities, the suspect walked into the bank and demanded money from the teller. He left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. However, a dye pack exploded inside of the man's car as he was driving away, at which point he tossed some of the stolen money out of his window.

The suspect never showed a weapon, and nobody was injured during this incident.

Now, police need help identifying the individual who robbed the bank. He has been described as a black male in his 30s who was driving a black Ford Focus sedan. He is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs around 210 pounds. The suspect was also well disguised, wearing a black hoodie, black curly wig, a fake beard and sunglasses.

Surveillance cameras at the bank captured clear shots of his disguised face and his vehicle outside.
