MANSFIELD (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Mansfield have arrested two suspects believed to be connected to at least four area robberies over the past two months. The arrests were made on Friday, after authorities were called at about 9:40 a.m. regarding a robbery suspect at a Comerica Bank, located along FM 157 in Mansfield.

Employees at the bank observed the known robbery suspect leaving the location. They were able to offer police a description of the suspect's vehicle, and that information was spread to nearby law enforcement agencies. Less than two hours later, the vehicle was spotted at a business along Matlock Road in Arlington, near the Mansfield border, by an officer with the Mansfield Independent School District.

Police arrived on the scene and watched as the suspects left that business and entered another along Matlock Road. Multiple police units responded and the two suspects were taken into custody. The two suspects were identified as 23-year-old Jamal Byron Watson and 20-year-old Melinda Marie Tucker, both from Arlington.

According to police, Watson and Tucker are being held in connection with four area robberies: July 12 at a BBVA Compass in Mansfield, July 29 at a nearby Burger King, August 7 at a BBVA Compass in Mansfield and August 10 at a Chase Bank in Mansfield. Bond information is still pending as the investigation continues.
