INDIANAPOLIS (CBSDFW.COM) - All eyes (and ears) were on Burleson's own "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson on Sunday night, when she took the field to sing the National Anthem at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, ahead of Super Bowl XLVI. Before the performance, she talked about her fears online. "I'm actually really nervous about singing," she said. "Here's hoping I nail it and don't screw it up!"

She didn't.

Unlike last year's unfortunate rendition by Christina Aguilera in Arlington, the two-time Grammy Award winning Clarkson did not flub the lyrics, as she took the stage in a fitted black dress and bangs. After the game, she got online again to thank fans for their support. "Thank you everybody for all of the nice things you're saying about my performance! I really appreciate it," she said.

Clarkson boarded a plane after the game, heading back to her home state of Texas. Her latest tour comes to San Antonio on Monday night before reaching North Texas -- Grand Prairie, to be specific -- on Friday.
