Hot Weekend, Cool Week
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year at that point. Then it got hotter. Today it hit 103°F. That makes the 5th time this summer we've had a day in the 100's. It also makes the last time we'll have one in July:
Yes, we are going to end the month with below-normal temperatures and rain chances. It all starts tomorrow morning when a cold front moves through the metroplex. By afternoon it will hang up across our southwestern corner and bring storms chances there:
We'll have rain chances on Tuesday down near the frontal boundary, especially in the morning. There could be some heavy rain with these storms tomorrow and especially Tuesday:
This will bring temperatures down. On Wednesday night and Thursday another batch of storms slides in from the west before a second cold front arrives. This not only brings cooler weather (in the 80's) but better rain chances:
