Hot and Getting Hotter
By 3pm the DFW Airport was at 100°. This makes the 4th 100 degree day of the year. Just before 4pm it was at 102°- that makes it the hottest day of the year so far. Currently the temperature sits at 101° with a heat index of 104°
We are expecting another hot day tomorrow. There is a good chance we'll either equal or surpass the hottest day of the year so far (101° on July 14th).
A cold front arrives Monday morning. It not only will break the worst of the heat it'll also bring storm chances. The strongest storms will be south of the metroplex in the afternoon:
