Heat Continues

It was a nice start to summer after our wet spring. But now comes the full heat of July:

We shouldn't be surprised by any of this, we have now entered our hottest period of the year: the last half of July and the first half of August:

We hit 99° on Saturday, the hottest day of the year so far. No 100° Days so far; we haven't gone this long without since 2007. They really show up the first half of August:

 

We are expecting another 99° for Sunday:

There is tropical moisture streaming in from what is left of Hurricane Dolores in the Pacific. It'll bring rain into the panhandle by Tuesday/Wednesday but not here. Instead the high pressure ridge is camped out over us for the rest of the month. We've only had one day of rain this month, we are not expecting much in chances for the rest of it:

We shouldn't be surprised about that either. July and August are the driest duo of months in the growing season:
