Video: Gorilla Reacts To Jeering Children At Zoo
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- It's not uncommon for a group of children to taunt an animal through the glass at the zoo. But when the animals react, everyone's surprised.
B'Wenzi, an 11-year-old male gorilla at the Dallas Zoo, threw his hands up against the glass window, surprising a group of screaming children.
"This is normal, well-adjusted behavior for a teenager," said Dr. Lynn Kramer, vice president of animal operations for the Dallas Zoo. "They do this for one reason, and that's to get a reaction."
The zoo says the actions aren't aggressive. The jeering children might disagree.
