Frisco PD Gives Back on "Giving Tuesday"

FRISCO, TX (CBSDFW.COM) -- After the shopping rush of Cyber Monday comes an opportunity to give back and help the less fortunate on what is now known as 'Giving Tuesday.'

In Frisco, members of the Frisco PD Traffic Unit shared some 'Giving Tuesday' love. At one point, they found someone with a birthday and celebrated with them as well singing 'Happy Birthday" (video above).

The whole idea of Giving Tuesday started at the 92nd Street YMCA in Manhattan. Henry Timms is the Y's Executive Director and came up with the campaign three years ago. "We never needed more than six words: It was always Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday. And people would really say 'Yeah, I think that's a good idea.'"
