FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) -  Police have made an arrest in the bank robbery that sparked a huge police response downtown on Thursday.

Police say they arrested Dee Ingram after being alerted that he had kidnapped a woman Saturday morning.

Tips identifying Ingram as the bank robber had already begin coming into the Police's Crime Stopper Hotlines.

Calls led investigators to Ingram's and his victim's location at Valley View Motel on Mansfield Highway.

Police say they received tips that woman with Ingram was being held against her will, was in danger of being harmed, and that the suspect intended to have a shootout with police if stopped.

The Major Case Unit then became involved to investigate the possible kidnapping.

According to police the woman was not an employee at the bank Ingram robbed and they are not sure of what connection she has to Ingram.

Police say Ingram confessed to robbing a bank in downtown Fort Worth after forcing employees down a hallway and into a bathroom at gunpoint

The Fort Worth police swat team and other units searched inside the entire building.

Sgt. Steve Enright says, "They're very methodical. They went floor by floor office by office and they decided everyone at some point they cleared the building, called it clear and secure and that no one was in any danger inside."

Police sent out two photos on Twitter showing the suspect walking away from the building.

At 1:42 p.m., Ingram was arrested just a few blocks away from a motel when he stopped at a nearby gas station.

The kidnapping victim did not report being hurt by the suspect by the suspect; but, she was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
