Fort Worth Cats Have New Lease
The Ft. Worth Cats have a new lease with options so the team can keep playing at LaGrave Field for at least another 10-years.
The Star Telegram says team owner Carl Bell's renegotiated bank loans on the stadium's 5-acre site as well as another 13 acres near LaGrave Field.
Bell recently sold 38 acres south of the ball-field to the Tarrant Regional Water District. That $17.5 million dollar deal helped the Cats' owner pay Amegy Bank---which had posted the land for foreclosure sale earlier in the year.
