Eye On Traffic: July 27 - August 2
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Texas Rangers are back at the Ballpark in Arlington this weekend. They'll play the Chicago White Sox through Monday, and then a series against the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday and Thursday. Expect heavy traffic in Arlington around all game times.
The Global Warming Tour with Aerosmith and Cheap Tricks is at the American Airlines Center on Saturday night, and the "American Idol" tour is there Sunday night, so expect delays in that area before and after those shows.
"The Voice" is having auditions at the Irving Convention Center all day Saturday, so there will be congestion through that area on that day.
Nicki Minaj is playing at Verizon Theater on Sunday night, so there will be delays on Interstate-30 heading into Grand Prairie before this show.
They are removing a concrete barrier in Rockwall, so the right lane is closing daily on eastbound Interstate-30 at Goliad Street. It usually reopens around 3:30 a.m. each morning.
The right lane is closed daily on eastbound Interstate-20 before Belt Line Road. They reopen it at 3:00 p.m. daily.
Denton Drive is closed in both directions now between Northhaven Road and Forest Lane for utility work. That won't reopen until August 13.
Construction along Interstate-635 -- eastbound and westbound -- has the Josey Lane exit ramp closed. The Denton Drive/Harry Hines Boulevard exit from westbound Interstate-635 is also closed.
