Driver Rescued From Arlington Creek Bed
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) -- A man was rescued on Thursday from an Arlington creek bed after his vehicle left the road and became partially submerged underwater.
The man was traveling eastbound in a four-door sedan on Pioneer Parkway just prior to Green Oaks Boulevard when he entered the creek.
Units with the Arlington Fire Department responded to the scene and found the front of the vehicle submerged.
"We sent a rescue team out that extracted the individual from the vehicle," said Brent Shanklin, Captain of the Arlington Fire Department. "He was able to walk out and was uninjured."
The man walked to an ambulance, but had no visible injuries. It is unclear as to why the man's vehicle left the roadway.
