ARLINGTON (105.3 THE FAN) - "Man," said a half-dressed Dez Bryant, leaning into his AT&T Stadium locker stall and poking around in his luggage after Sunday's 31-17 win over the Bears. "Look at all that bling!"

The jewelry, assembled almost certainly for a postgame get-together with mentor Jay-Z and superstar Beyoncé, might've been put to its sparkly use later, after the locker room was closed. But not before Bryant underwent an X-ray and scheduled a Monday MRI on what the Cowboys hope is only a sprained knee.

"We feel OK," owner Jerry Jones said about Bryant, who did return from the early injury to catch a TD pass in the win that propels Dallas to 2-1. "Right now, we're fine. We'll give it another look-see with the MRI."

Last season the Cowboys experienced life without Tony Romo and without Bryant and they were anything but "fine." Romo is sidelined for the 2016 team for now, with rookie quarterback Dak Prescott playing so brilliantly that some think a QB controversy inevitable. But there is no real replacement for Bryant, never played fully healthy last season, missing seven games with a foot injury that needed two surgeries.

Bryant finished Sunday with three catches for 40 yards and a touchdown that what's the first such throw of Prescott's NFL career. The team saved the ball for Dak, but he said maybe he'd "cut it in half" and share it with Bryant.

But Dez (who became just the fourth Cowboy to catch 60 touchdown passes in a career) doesn't need a souvenir.

Like Tyron Smith, La'el Collins, Orlando Scandrick and Romo, these high-profile cowboys simply need the their health.

Well, and maybe their blank – in case Jay-Z and Beyoncé ever swing back into town.
