Cyber-Bullying Or Sweet Revenge?

ROWLETT (CBS 11 NEWS) - A Rowlett baker made an online video calling out a bride she says wrote thousands of dollars in bad checks.

Now the bride is calling it "cyber bullying."

The video shows pictures of the bride, the groom, and their wedding day playing out to the Rihanna song "B**** Better Have My Money."

Nikki Jackson, the owner of Absolutely Edible Cakes, says she travelled to Chicago to cater the event in July. "I did her cake, her food, everything, just to end up being ripped off."

After the initial deposit the bride still owed her more than $7,000. Instead of money, Jackson says she got excuses and eventually three checks totaling $4,500 that all bounced.

"I became angry and I did produce a video," she said. "But I did nothing less than what she would have done had she paid me 12 or 13 thousand dollars and I didn't show up. Just because I'm a business owner doesn't mean I'm not human."

Over the phone, the bride accused Jackson of cyber-bullying.

She reached out to Chicago police for help. "They asked me what it would take to take the video down, and I told them the video is for sale - for $4,500."

Jackson says, Facebook did briefly freeze her account and remove the video from her page.

Now, it's on YouTube

"She kept saying, 'Friend, I wouldn't do you like that'."

Jackson says it's not the money, but the deceit that stings

"If she had only said, 'I really don't have the money. I promise you.' I would have said, 'okay'," said Jackson.

She says she has since heard from other vendors who were not paid. A Dallas area makeup artist told CBS 11 her check from the same bride bounced too.

The bride is now threatening to sue Jackson for defamation.
