Cruz Predicts "Two-Man Race" After Super Tuesday

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Ted Cruz rallied more than one thousand supporters during his final campaign blitz through his home state.
"We are going to have a very good Super Tuesday," Cruz told supporters at Gilley's in Dallas Monday.
He told the crowd, unlike Donald Trump, he won't cut deals on his core principles.
"I will never compromise on religious liberty and never on the second amendment," said Cruz.
Cruz received help from two Texas Governors.
"We need a president who's going to uphold the Constitution," Governor Greg Abbott told the crowd. "We need Ted Cruz for President of the United States of America."
Former Governor Perry credited veterans who answered the country's call when in need, but blasted Trump.
"Now when our country needed Donald Trump, I'm not sure where he was in the 60's. Oh, I forgot, he had those bone spurs," said Perry.
Molly Maddux is among the campaign volunteers at Gilley's in Dallas who've traveled out of state to try to get Cruz elected.
"I'm part of the grassroots and there's not anybody I trust like I do Ted Cruz," said Maddux.
Cruz believes he won't only do well in Texas Tuesday, but also in many other southern states.
"Donald Trump in all likelihood will have a big chunk of delegates. And we I believe will have a big chunk of delegates, and I think everyone else will be way, way, way behind and at that point, it will be clear, this has become a two man race," said Cruz.
