Convicted Child Rapist Arrested In Dallas

AUSTIN (CBSDFW.COM) - Albert Isaiah Christopher, 39, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after he was captured on Monday in Dallas. Christopher was wanted for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements and probation violation.
Christopher was convicted in November 2011 of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child after incidents in Dallas County involving two girls, ages 10 and 12.
He subsequently was sentenced to seven years of probation but was on the run since January 2014.
Working off tip information, members of the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including Department of Public Safety Special Agents, located and arrested Christopher without incident at an apartment complex in north Dallas.
The arrest was the result of a tip, and a reward up to $3,000 will be paid.
