Cold Front Arrives Wednesday Evening
STRONG COLD FRONT ARRIVES TOMORROW EVENING…
A warm, breezy Tuesday will give way to a mild night. Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s overnight with a south wind blowing at about 10 to 15 mph. Most of our Wednesday will be warm and breezy just like today, but tomorrow evening the front arrives.
Temperatures will drop 20 degrees within an hour when the front moves thru your neighborhood and winds will become very gusty out of the northwest up to 35 mph. There will be a small chance of a rain and maybe a thunderstorm with the front, but rain coverage will be less than 30% and the favored area for any rain is north and east of Dallas. Temperatures tomorrow night will drop into the 40s.
Thursday will be a chilly, breezy day with temperatures staying in the 50s all day. There will be some sunshine, but overall a cool November day.
POSSIBLE FREEZE FOR SOME FRIDAY MORNING…
Skies will remain clear Thursday night and winds will become calm. This will create the perfect conditions for radiational cooling. This is where the heat from the previous day escapes (radiates) into space. This will make for the coldest weather of the season. I'm expected lows at DFW to be around 36 degrees Friday morning. But many of the suburbs to the north and west will see temps around 32 degrees Friday morning.
WARMING BACK UP FOR THE WEEKEND…
Temperatures will moderate rather quickly after our cold Thursday and Friday. Temperatures Friday afternoon will be back close to 70 degrees and highs this weekend will be in the 70s. There will be some rain chances Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of next week.
