Chilly Start To 2013!

CHILLY WEATHER CONTINUES THRU THE WEEK...

After a dreary start to the day, the clouds have thinned some this afternoon.  There has even been some sunshine for areas west of Fort Worth.  The rain has tapered off for all areas except those east of Dallas.

Here is a radar loop of the rain thru the day.

The rain was not terribly impressive.  Most locations less than a third of an inch.

NEW YEAR'S EVE FORECAST

COLD FRONT ARRIVES TONIGHT...

A cold front will arrive in DFW around midnight tonight.  This will shift winds to the NW and allow temps to drop into the 30s by daybreak Tuesday morning.  There may be a few areas of spotty light rain early in the morning tomorrow, but it will be chilly and breezy.

TOMORROW...

By the afternoon, there will be a few breaks in the clouds, but temps will only be in the mid 40s.

CHILLY WEATHER ALL WEEK...

Several upper level disturbances will be moving over North Texas the next few days, but there will not be enough moisture to allow for any precipitation.  But we will continue to see north winds for the next several days which will keep it chilly until the weekend when winds shift.
