Chance Of Rain Each Day This Week
After the hottest weekend so far this year, we are watching rain chances and slightly lower temperatures to start the work week.
Storms are most numerous along the Red River early this morning.
The storms are firing up along a weak cold front that will be slowly sagging to the south during the morning hours. It should be close to the Metroplex by late morning/early afternoon. We're not expecting widespread storms, but a few, isolated storms. Some storms could be strong, but overall severe weather threat is low.
By afternoon, the front will be well south of the DFW area. The best chance of afternoon thunderstorms will be in Central Texas.
Today is just the first of many days this week with rain chances. The best opportunity to see rainfall will be Thursday, as a stronger cold front arrives.
Temperatures will still be on the hot side for the first half of the week. But by Thursday, we'll see highs back in the 80s! Slowly warming up into the upcoming weekend.
