Burleson 2-Year-Old Struck By Car Doing Better, Family Says

BURLESON (CBSDFW.COM) - Good news to report about the Burleson child struck by his great-grandmother Monday night.
Shelly Lackey, the grandmother of the little boy tells CBS11, "My grandson will make a full recovery he is doing great. He does have some hairline fractures that will heal and there is still some swelling that will go away with recovery."
She went on to say in an email, "So far prayers have been answered to the fullest."
Burleson Police say a 2-year old boy was on the front porch of a house in the 700 block of Wicker Hill Road at when his 61-year-old great grandmother attempted to back the car up and turn around.
Police say she did not realize the child had gotten off the porch.
It was reported the vehicle's tire backed over the child around 5:45 p.m. Monday.
The child was airlifted to the hospital by Careflite.
Burleson Police say no charges are being filed against the great-grandmother as this was an accident.
