Bridge Failure Causes Train To Derail In Roanoke

ROANOKE (CBSDFW.COM) - Officials said Roanoke police are investigating a train derailment at Highway 377 and FM 1171.
According to police, the Union Pacific train derailed when a bridge it was crossing failed.
Approximately 20 railcars derailed and about five railcars fell into Denton Creek.
Officials said the trains was hauling coal and no hazardous materials or livestock were on board.
Southbound 377 at FM 1171 remains closed.
There are no reported injuries or other vehicles involved.
