CBS Texas partners with Ashley, Dallas Cowboys for book drive to benefit campus

CBS Texas is joining forces with Ashley and the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday to make an impact for students at a Dallas school through a special book drive.

The book drive, from 10 a.m. to noon, is at Ashley's store at Alliance Town Center, 9100 North Freeway, Suite 140, in Fort Worth. Neighbors are asked to bring new or gently used books while enjoying snacks and refreshments, face painting, a live DJ, and guest appearances from both the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Rowdy himself. Participants can even meet the cheerleaders and make bag charms.

Each book you bring earns you a raffle entry, with prizes like Yeti coolers, Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop gift cards, and more up for grabs.

At the heart of the drive is the impact the book donations will have on Buckner Preparatory, a PK-8 campus in Dallas that doesn't have its own library. 90% of Buckner's students are also economically disadvantaged. Ashley is designing and furnishing a reading room for Buckner's students to enjoy.
