AG's Talk BP
It's meeting day for the State's Attorney's General to talk about the BP oil spill. Attorney General Greg Abbott is in Mobile Alabama this morning meeting with his gulf state counterparts and the US Attorney General. "We're going to be talking about what our legal plan is going forward about civil and potential criminal liability that BP faces because of the oil spill in the gulf." Abbott says it will be up to the federal government to bring criminal charges. As far as the state's go, they can help with that criminal investigation and take civil action suing for monetary damages from BP. "We want to consider all the available causes of action, whether they be civil or criminal, to make sure that BP is held fully accountable for the damages they have caused."
