Weather Update
The morning rain/storms quickly dissipated; there is only a slight chance that the afternoon heating produces a thunderstorm. If one does develop we'll have to monitor it closely- the atmosphere is capped but if a storm is able to break the cap it'll be powerful:
We'll again watch severe thunderstorms develop out west in the panhandle. Those storms are forecast to cluster together and make a run toward north Texas overnight. We could easily again wake up on Memorial Day morning to the sound of thunder. It should clear out by afternoon but, just like today, a slight risk of afternoon storms exist:
A cold front comes in just as we start June. This could produce a long-lasting rain on Wednesday, 1"-2" is expected:
