Weekend Rain Possible

In the wake of a cold front that came through yesterday a cooler day in store for north Texas. More in clouds and dry air and highs in the mid-70's with much less wind:

Its a weekend of racing at Texas Motor Speedway. Only slight rain chances going into race time tomorrow:

Here's your weekend forecast. Rain chances Saturday afternoon/early evening but dry the rest of the time. Warm and windy (and humid) on Sunday with storm chances late in the evening:

Its been a warm and dry start to April- peaceful weather in what is normally a very stormy month. The weather pattern is getting ready to change, just look at the forecasted highs for Tue/Wed next week:

We've got a couple of weather systems upstream from us headed this way. One comes over tomorrow, the other on Monday:

 

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have a 30% chance of storms/showers in the afternoon. This activity should quickly die out by early evening in time for the race:

Sunday will be warm, humid and windy. An approaching cold front helps push the dryline towards us. We'll have storms chances start by late night Sunday but really peak on Monday afternoon. We are watching where the dryline sets up on Monday, this will dictate where the chance of severe weather is for Monday. Right now its looking along the I-35 corridor and east:
