2014 NFL Draft: 1st Round Picks

NEW YORK (CBSDFW.COM/AP) -  The Houston Texans have made South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney the first pick in the NFL draft.

Considered a budding NFL star even when he was a freshman, Clowney brings size, speed and power to a Texans lineup that already has 2012 NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt.

With the #2 pick the St. Louis Rams picked Auburn OT Greg Robinson

UCF Blake Bortles got the honor of being the first QB to go in the draft, being picked by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Cleveland Browns trade away the #4 picks to the Buffalo Bills - and the Bills select Sammy Watkins from Clemson.

The Oakland Raiders take Buffalo LB Khalil Mack with the #5 pick!

Aggies OT Jake Matthews goes to the Atlanta Falcons with the #6 pick. He's the 2nd Aggies tackle to go in the Top 6 in the last two years.

With the 7th pick in the 1st round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Texas A&M WR Mike Evans - another Aggie gone.

After trading with the Vikings, the Cleveland Browns select OSU CB Justin Gilbert with the 8th pick in the 1st round.

At #9 UCLA LB Anthony Barr goes to the Minnesota Vikings

The Detroit Lions select North Carolina TE Eric Ebron 10th overall - and he just got engaged today in NYC.

11th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select Michigan tackle Taylor Lewan

At #12 the New York Giants take LSU WR Odell Beckam Jr.

Pitt DL Aaron Donald gets picked by the St. Louis Rams at #13

The Chicago Bears get help in the secondary with their selection of Virgina Tech CB Kyle Fuller with the No. 14 pick.

Pittsburgh Steelers select Ohio State LB Ryan Shazier at #15.

With the #16 pick - the Dallas Cowboys select Notre Dame guard Zack Martin

LB C.J. Mosley from Alabama is picked at #17 by the Ravens

With 18th pick Louisville safety Calvin Pryor goes to the NY Jets

With the 19th pick, the Dolphins select Ja'Wuan James, OT from Tennessee

Saints trade up to 20, snag WR Brandin Cooks from Oregon State

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, safety from Alabama, heads to Green Bay at No. 21

Cleveland makes move to No. 22, ends the wait for Johnny Manziel

Chiefs select Dee Ford, DE from Auburn, with the 23rd pick

Bengals add to secondary, selecting CB Darqueze Dennard from Michigan State at 24

CB & TCU product Jason Verrett goes to Chargers at No. 25

Eagles select DE Marcus Smith from Louisville at No. 26

Deone Bucannon, SS from Washington State, goes at No. 27 to the Arizona Cardinals

The Panthers select 6'5" WR Kelvin Benjamin from Florida State with the 28th overall pick

New England takes DT Dominique Easley from Florida with the 29th pick

Northern Illinois SS Jimmie Ward comes off the board at 30 to the 49ers

With the 31st pick, the AFC Champion Denver Broncos select CB Bradley Roby from Ohio State

Teddy Bridgewater becomes the 3rd quarterback selected, as the Vikings trade up to select the Louisville star
