GRAPEVINE (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Grapevine have one suspect in custody and are searching for another man after a break-in at a pharmacy. The incident happened at around 9:00 p.m. on Monday night along State Highway 114, near Baylor Medical Center at Grapevine.

But this was not the first time on Monday that this particular pharmacy was hit by thieves.

Investigators explained that an officer was on patrol and spotted the two suspects trying to get inside of the ReCept Pharmacy location. Police said that they broke through a back window and were able to enter the building, however, nothing was taken.

"They are going after the controlled substances, the controlled narcotics," said Sgt. Robert Eberling with the Grapevine Police Department. "Those things are something that is very valuable out there on the streets. That's something that they are trying to get from these smaller pharmacies."

When confronted by authorities, one of the suspects ran back into the pharmacy and was arrested. The second man fled from the scene in a Chevrolet Impala. The vehicle was found nearby, but investigators think that the suspect may have escaped into a greenbelt area behind the Classic Chevrolet car dealership.

Authorities spent several hours searching for the second man, but were unable to find him in the area. Police are hoping to get some more information from the man who was arrested. A description of the second suspect has not been released.

The investigation is even more unique because the exact same pharmacy was targeted at about 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning, making two times in the same day that thieves tried to smash into the building through a back window. Three suspects were at the earlier break-in, each wearing hoodies and masks.

While the suspects in the two crimes all fit the same description, it is not yet known if the same people were involved. Officials are also trying to determine if these break-ins are connected to other recent pharmacy heist attempts in Dallas, as well as one at the Your Pharmacy location in Grapevine just two weeks ago.

"When we have these occurrences, and they are happening at similar locations," Eberling explained, "we always have to think there's a possible connection with the similar incidents that happen throughout the Metroplex. We know there are other cities that encounter the same thing."
