18-Wheeler No Longer Dangling; Awaiting Removal

DALLAS(CBSDFW.COM) - Nearly 24 hours after the driver of a big rig lost control on an icy interstate, the 18-wheeler's cab is no longer hanging off a bridge near I-45 and Stuart Simpson Road.

Moving the tractor trailer was a risky operation as workers climbed on top of it to connect cables.  McIntyre Wrecker had to use three tow trucks to pull the big rig from bridge.

During the process of trying to pull the big rig back onto the bridge, officers discovered live electrical wires that were exposed from the impact of the accident.  ONCOR was called out to fix that.

Around midday Tuesday, local company Sky Sight Films showed up on the scene with a drone and offered help but authorities told them, "no."

A two-mile stretch of I-45 north from I-20 to Simpson Stuart Road, remains closed to all traffic.
