The victim is an Arkansas man whose car was hit head-on by a driver who was critically injured and facing criminal charges if he survives.
Richardson Police said the two men were in the process of stealing items from storage units and the van was stolen from a U-Haul store in Garland.
"I cry every time I watch that video. I get emotional because I know what my baby has gone through," said Demethia Curtis, the teen's mother.
Detectives identified the suspect as Jonathan Amaud Adams, 31, and obtained an warrant for his arrest for indecency with a child.
At least two of the three victims didn't even know what had happened to them until police on foot patrol woke them up on the street after they passed out.
Arlington Police confiscated more than a dozen illegal items, including a grenade launcher, multiple firearms and drugs after executing a search warrant.
During a foot chase, police said one of the suspects stopped, turned, wielded a knife and moved toward a sergeant. The sergeant used a Taser to subdue him.
At this point in the investigation into the death of Joan Mulcahy, 82, police do not believe there is any cause for concern for the general public.
Court documents show Mickael Gedlu's alleged threats happened between on or about December 29, 2018 and June 3, 2019.
The owners of the cell phones confronted the young man when they say he pulled out a handgun and threatened them.
