Orelon Sidney is a multi-skilled meteorologist for CBS News Atlanta. She is also an expert in natural disasters and their impacts on society. She presents weather forecasts for the evening news programs.
She has worked as a meteorologist for some of the nation's top news organizations, including CNN and The Weather Channel. She has also made appearances in TV shows such as "Weird Weather" and "Strange Evidence," often as the "resident debunker", one of her favorite roles.
When not forecasting, Orelon loves music with her favorite genres being progressive rock and "old skool funk". She also enjoys outdoor activities and is a practitioner of TNR (trap/neuter/return). She is passionate about finding safe, loving homes for Atlanta's feline population and has had as many as eight foster cats at one time! She encourages everyone to spay/neuter their pets to bring an end to pet homelessness and euthanasia.
Orelon is active in Georgia's acting scene and has had roles in various films and television shows, including "Dynasty," "The Resident," and "Army Wives." Her favorite credit to date is "Godzilla, King of the Monsters!" She grew up watching Godzilla with her father and was delighted to take him to see the film on Father's Day.
