Jonathan Myers

Jonathan Myers is a multi-skilled meteorologist at CBS Atlanta.

He was most recently the Morning Meteorologist at WUSA9, the CBS Affiliate in Washington, DC. Before his work in DC, he was the Chief Meteorologist at FOX 45 in Baltimore. In the DC-Maryland-Virginia area, he forecasted record snowfalls, hurricanes, and tornadoes. Prior to working in Baltimore, Jonathan was the noon and 5 p.m. Meteorologist at WWL-TV, the CBS affiliate in New Orleans. Jonathan's career began up in New York State at WROC-TV in Rochester and WETM-TV in Elmira.

Jonathan has been awarded the American Meteorological Society's (AMS) Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Seal, the AMS's most prestigious mark of distinction, for his forecasts. This is an upgrade of the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval for Television, which he also holds. In addition, Jonathan has been granted the National Weather Association (NWA) Seal of Approval for Television. He is also a full member of both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. In addition, he is an Emmy award-winner, four-time AP Best Meteorologist winner, and six-time AP award winner overall.

Myers graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology with specialties in forecasting, tropical meteorology, and local-scale meteorology. While at Penn State, he sang tenor with the Penn State Glee Club.

Besides forecasting weather, Jonathan loves any and all sports he can play with his boys, including fishing, skiing, hiking, sailing, and every team sport they decide to play. In his free time, Jonathan also teaches a class in Meteorology to train future pilots and air traffic controllers, and enjoys volunteering with area charities like St. Vincent de Paul, where he packs and distributes bags of food and does intake for neighbors in need.
