Dana Kozlov is an Emmy-award-winning political investigative reporter for CBS News Chicago. Prior to joining the station in 2003, she worked at WGN, CNN Chicago and WEEK-TV in Peoria, where she began her journalism career in 1992.
A native of Palatine and graduate of Fremd High School, she received her communications degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
Kozlov has been involved with many organizations since moving back to Chicago in 1995, especially those focused on the issue of domestic violence. Most recently, she served on the Board of the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women's Network. She's also worked with The Cradle and Rainbow House, among others.
Kozlov loves cooking, dance, yoga, music, reading, travel, all exercise and wine. She's a proud Chicagoan whose family has deep roots in the city. She is also an enthusiastic Chicago sports fan.
Kozlov and her husband live and are raising their two children in the city.

"There's going to be transparency on some level or another, and they can work with me to make that happen. Or they can continue to expend taxpayer funds to pay lawyers to fight this in court for them."
The person from whom Jones requested the bribe was actually cooperating with law enforcement, prosecutors said.
Meanwhile, the man behind the ad stands by it.
Some families could be getting up to $700 back from the state over the next two months. But critics say the rebate – during an election year – is suspect.
Brookins is now the 14th member of the City Council to either step down mid-term since the 2019 city elections, or to announce they won't seek re-election in 2023.
"We will have several categories of people with damages, including those that have had their cars stolen, and we will be seeking to have them compensated."
This will make for the biggest City Council turnover in almost 80 years.
Neighbors say it is already loud enough in the area – and now with cars and trucks speeding over the metal plate constantly, it is almost too much to take.
More than a fifth of the City Council is now either leaving or has already left mid-term.
"We can't live like this. The city has become – I won't even say, Gotham City is a little bit better, because you have Batman," said Uzma Sharif.
