Dan Brown is a meteorologist with the WBZ-TV NEXT Weather Team and has been forecasting Massachusetts weather for over 24 years! When he is not forecasting at WBZ, he works as the evening Meteorologist in Springfield, MA at the ABC/CBS/FOX affiliate, Western Mass News. Dan made his on-air debut in Binghamton, NY where he worked for a year before returning to the Bay State.
Dan grew up in Lynn, went to Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, and graduated from Salem State University. He then attended Mississippi State University where he received his master's degree in Geosciences, on campus program with a concentration in Meteorology.
Since Dan can remember, he has been fascinated with the weather, especially snowstorms including "The Blizzard of '78."
Weather continues to be his passion, and Dan is thrilled to be forecasting Boston weather at WBZ-TV as part of the NEXT Weather Team.
Dan lives in East Longmeadow, MA but spends much of his free time in Weston and Lynn, where he still has family.
Dan is an avid Boston sports fan and a marathoner. He enjoys working out and has competed in many area road races. He has run 14 marathons and has his sights set on Boston.
