Suspect in armed carjacking spree killed in San Jose after being run over by patrol vehicle

San Jose police said a carjacking spree that spanned two counties began in the city around 2 p.m. The suspect was involved in several shootouts, and an SJPD sergeant was shot and is expected to survive.
