Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty Friday to three additional federal charges in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case, one day after Trump was arraigned in Washington, D.C., on federal charges in the special counsel's investigation into Trump's alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. CBS News congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane has the latest.
Trump is expected to appear in court Thursday for his first hearing in a case unlike any other in U.S. history.
The indictment alleges a sprawling campaign by Trump and six unnamed co-conspirators to overturn President Biden's victory at the polls.
Trump was indicted by a federal grand jury investigating alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
"We've found no confirmation that there was an active shooter," Capitol Police chief Thomas Manger told reporters.
