(RADIO.COM) – Kanye West matched his blue denim jeans and baby blue diamond-studded jacket with a new set of bright blue contacts. But the result is more unsettling than one would guess. The rapper/fashionista took on a sci-fi robot-like appearance with the addition of his new eye color Monday evening.

West's outfit was just one of hundreds of striking ensembles worn by stars at Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology' Costume Institute Gala at Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Kanye was joined by wife Kim, who wore a futuristic chrome-like reflective dress studded with diamonds.

The annual gala pulls in the biggest celebrities from film, TV, music, and even tech. Apple's Tim Cook and Jonathan Ive even took part in the celebration.
