Two Men Shot Outside Oakland Club

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) _ Two men are recovering from gunshot wounds after someone opened fire outside a downtown nightclub.

No arrests have been made in the Tuesday night shooting outside the New Parish club following a performance by a hip-hop group.

Oakland Police spokesman, Officer Jeff Thomason says a 22-year-old man and a 31-year-man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Thomason says they were taken to Highland Hospital, where a fight broke out among their friends. Alameda County sheriff's deputies arrested one man outside the hospital for having an outstanding felony drug warrant in Contra Costa County, drug possession and resisting arrest.

Thomason did not have any information on a possible motive or whether the victims were targeted.
