Teenager Shot, Badly Injured In San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- San Jose police are investigating an early-morning shooting that left a 19-year-old man with potentially life-threatening injuries on Monday.

Police learned of the shooting when the victim was driven to a
local hospital at 1:08 a.m.

The people who drove him there told hospital staff that he had been shot near the corner of East Santa Clara and 24th streets around midnight.

Police have not identified any suspects in the case and are still investigating the motive for the shooting.

The victim, a San Jose resident, is being treated for at least one gunshot wound, police said.
