Teen Killed In Oakland Drive-By Shooting
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A teenage man was shot and killed while riding a motorized bike through an East Oakland neighborhood Saturday afternoon, a police officer said.
The shooting near the intersection of 63rd and Avenal avenues was reported at 4:15 p.m., Officer J. Moore said.
The victim was riding a motorcycle or scooter in the area when someone opened fire on him from a passing vehicle, Moore said.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:40 p.m.
No suspect information was available.
