Teen Arrested, 2nd Suspect Sought In SF Bayview Shooting
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A teenage boy has been arrested and a second teenager is being sought in connection with a shooting that injured a man in San Francisco's Bayview District last Thursday, a police spokesman said Monday.
The shooting was reported at 8:02 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Palou Avenue and Newhall Street, police said.
The suspects had just gotten off a 44-O'Shaughnessy San Francisco Municipal Railway bus when they opened fire on the 19-year-old victim, who was struck multiple times in the torso, according to police.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Muni officials gave San Francisco police surveillance video from the bus.
On Friday afternoon, a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the shooting, police Lt. Troy Dangerfield said Monday.
His name is not being released because he is a juvenile.
Dangerfield said the second suspect in the shooting remains outstanding.
He is described as a black teenage boy who is about 16 or 17 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
