Tech Report: Internet Explorer 9 Is User Friendly
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - KCBS Technology Analyst Larry Magid said he's looking at the near-final version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 and likes what he's seen.
"It's a lot faster," said Magid. "But not only have they sped it up quite a bit, but they've also made other improvements such as Mozilla and a Chrome browser."
KCBS' Larry Magid:
Magid said they've added the Do Not Track tool so that you can keep people from tracking your online activities. He says you can also block active X content, which means you can prevent certain types of malicious sites from executing software against you.
Magid said that it also supports HTML5, which is a better alternative to Flash.
Besides all of that, he said that Explorer Nine just has a better look and feel.
