Suspect Arrested After San Francisco Man Shot, Robbed
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- A man was shot in the face and robbed early Sunday morning in San Francisco's Bayview District, according to police.
The victim, a 45-year-old man, was walking on the sidewalk near Third Street and Palou Avenue about 2 a.m., Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.
The victim turned a corner and was confronted by the armed suspect.
"The suspect walked up to him and demanded money," Andraychak said.
The victim refused and was shot in the face once by the suspect and then robbed. His injuries were not life threatening, Andraychak said.
Officers searched the area and located the suspect along with a handgun, which was a few feet away, Andraychak said.
After treatment, the victim was able to identify his assailant in a photo lineup, Andraychak said.
The suspect, 57-year-old Charles Sullivan of San Francisco, was booked for attempted murder, robbery, being a convicted felon possessing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded weapon, Andraychak said.
