SoCal Park Trashed In 'Hidden Cash' Hunt; City To Be Reimbursed For Repairs
WHITTIER (KPIX 5) -- People hunting for hidden cash in a Southern California park left a huge mess behind.
About 800 people descended on a park in Whittier after clues tweeted by Bay Area real estate investor Jason Buzi, known as @HiddenCash on Twitter, had stashed $1,500 around the park.
Searchers trampled trees and shrubs, and broke fences and sprinklers.
After the frenzy, Buzi tweeted that he would pay the city $5,000 for repairs to the park.
