Service Dog Stolen From Sleeping Owner On BART Train
COLMA (KPIX 5) - A search is on for a service dog that was stolen from its owner on a Bay Area Rapid Transit Train Wednesday night.
A Pomeranian named Archie had just accompanied its owner to a San Francisco SPCA fundraiser and the duo was returning home on BART when the theft occurred.
The dog's owner, a San Bruno resident, apparently fell asleep, and when she woke up the dog was gone. Police believe the theft occurred near the Colma Station.
Flyers were being distributed Friday, and a reward will be offered for the return of Archie.
