OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Two unrelated shootings in Oakland sent two people to the hospital Saturday night, police said.

A man was shot near the intersection of Apgar and Market streets just after 7:30 p.m., Officer Kevin McDonald said.

About 11 p.m., a person was shot in the 8700 block of G Street, he said.

Both victims were taken to the hospital in stable condition with injuries that are not life threatening, McDonald said.
