Still No ID of Owner of Dogs in Golden Gate Park Attack
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- The unneutered pit bull and spayed shepherd mix that attacked three people in Golden Gate Park on Thursday were a pair that witnesses reported seeing together on several occasions, according to animal control authorities.
Officials with San Francisco Animal Care and Control said it's possible the owner showing up to claim the dogs, or that the owner was a homeless person who for some reason lost control of the animals.

The attacks that injured a 71-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man appear confined to those two animals, said the director of operations for San Francisco Recreation and Parks, Dennis Kern.
The two victims are recovering from bites to their legs.
"They're hoping for a very quick and effective recovery, and we're very sorry about this traumatic incident," Kern said.
He noted that the overwhelming majority of dog owners comply with the city's leash laws. And Kern took the opportunity to remind residents about 27 off-leash areas around the city, including large areas inside Golden Gate Park not far from where the attack took place.
Several charges are possible if the owner is discovered. Aside from the leash law violation, city law requires pit bulls to be neutered.
