Man Shot To Death At San Jose Industrial Complex
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Police were investigating a shooting that killed a man in San Jose early Thursday morning.
Officers responded at 12:55 a.m. at Probelogic, a semiconductor firm building in an industrial complex on the 1800 block of Lundy Avenue on a report of a person shot and located a man suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The San Jose Police Department's Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is investigating the homicide.
Investigators do not know the circumstances or the motive surrounding the shooting, police said.
One worker on the scene told KPIX 5 he overheard a police sergeant saying the shooting was possibly drug-related.
The identity of the victim will not be released until the coroner's office confirms the man's identity, and his next of kin is notified, police said.
It is San Jose's 19th homicide this year.
