San Jose man suspected in back-to-back burglaries at La Honda home

A suspect was arrested in connection to back-to-back burglaries at a La Honda home, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said Sunday.

Deputies were called to a home on the 2900 block of Long Ridge Road for reports of a burglary around 12:30 a.m.

When they arrived, they found the suspect was still inside the home, and deputies called for him to exit the house.

The sheriff's office said the suspect went outside without incident and was arrested. He was identified by the sheriff's office as 28-year-old Juan F. Chaverria Montoya of San Jose.

According to the sheriff's office, he is suspected of burglarizing the same home a day earlier.

He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of residential burglary.
